Spring Lake Beach visit, President’s Day 2012

Feb 20, 2012 was cold and clear, about 30 degrees F in the afternoon!  Even then, there were a few surfers bold enough to go into the water!!

Spring Lake, NJ has been one of our favorite day trip spots for the 20ish years that we have lived in this area.  It takes just under an hour to get there, and is so clean and beautiful.

Photos that I took of the water and beach imported into a video:

Video footage of the waves, the sounds!

This is one of our special magical spots, and we go here all during the year, and nights as well.  It is always special.  The ocean and the air rejuvenate us, center us.

What are your special magical places that refresh your mind, body, and soul?

The water is always a special place for me, whether it’s a lake or the ocean. Having grown up in Southern California, any beach here is a special getaway for me, especially nearby San Clemente or Huntington Beach. One of these days I’ll make it to NJ!
