Historic Delaware Canal State Park – Bucks County, PA

A small section of the Delaware Canal, that runs 60 miles!  It is a great part of our early history.  Mules pulled barges of goods and people from Philadelphia to various towns and villages north to Easton, PA.

In New Hope, PA they have a historic mule barge ride in the warm months.

I never knew about that! If I ever make it to that area I’ll be sure to add it to my ‘to visit’ list. I’m sure it would be a great research project for my daughter whom I homeschool.
