Do you live in Pennsylvania? Protect our State Parks now!! Just asking for a few clicks….

Friends,

Each of us have a special place we love. From Presque Isle to Ohiopyle; from Ricketts Glen to Ridley Creek; to whatever favorite place near you; our state parks are some of our greatest natural treasures.

Apparently, Gov. Corbett wants to eliminate one of the most important funding sources for our state parks, the Keystone Fund. That will threaten all the places we love.

Join me telling our legislators to stand up and defend the Keystone Fund through PennEnvironment’s website. Click here to take action: http://bit.ly/PAParks

The Keystone Fund was established in 1993 with bipartisan support. Since then, it has provided critical, dedicated funding to our state parks. It’s helped create miles of hiking trails, restored and protected stream banks, and built recreational facilities we all use. And with over 38 million people visiting our state parks in 2010, it’s clear that money was well spent.

But with Gov. Corbett planning to dissolve the Keystone Fund, it’s not clear how long we’ll be able to preserve and protect our state parks.

Join me in asking our legislators, “What’s your plan to protect Pennsylvania’s great state parks?”

Just go to http://bit.ly/PAParks to send a letter.

Thanks!
